NIGERIA: CJN Justice Onnoghen Sacked By Buhari And Replaced By Northerner Tanko Mohammed To Enable Buhari Rig Elections Well

ABUJA NIGERIA. (Jan 25) Breaking news coming from the nigerian capital abuja, is that the President, Muhammadu Buhari has fired the current embattled Chief Justice of the Federation Justice Walther Onnoghen, and replaced him with Justice Tanko Mohammed who was sworn in earlier this afternoon.

The announcement was made by the president’s media aide Bashir Ahmed.

This comes after the ruling APC government led by president Muhammadu Buhari, has recently instituted corruption proceedings againast the Mr Justice Onnoghen for failing to adequately declare his banking accounts.

The opposition parties and many civil society organisations (CSO) including members of the Nigerian Bar association (NBA) – the body representing registered Nigerian lawyers, have all declared the governments charges as politically motivated, coming so close to presidential elections in 4 weeks.
