ABUJA NIGERIA. Amidst the endless crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, and the war between the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, and the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, emerging report indicates that President Muhammadu Buhari has technically dumped the Imo State Govenor.
Recall, that Rochas Okorocha has been at loggerheads with Adams Oshiomhole, after the latter replaced the former’s son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, with another Governorship Candidate, on the list of approved Candidates for the 2019 general elections, which was sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
Governor Rochas Okorocha and his anointed successor Uche Nwosu
This damning move by the APC National Chairman, had led to Rochas Okorocha visiting the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja, to lay his complains before the President, on several occasions, without yielding any positive result whatsoever.
Reacting to the ongoing crisis, our source said: “Governor Rochas is just wasting his time and money at this moment. This APC National Chair cannot be pushed around. He has made his position on the matter, and nothing can be done. I repeat, nothing can be done.
Okorocha has visited President Buhari severally in the past week, but still nothing has changed. Is it not obvious that the President has washed his hands off the matter? If the President wanted to help Okorocha, he would have done that a long time ago. He has dumped Okorocha and his desperation for power in Imo State, as it seems, my brother.
“Adams Oshiomhole has won this battle”, he said.
